About

Dr. Amanda Farah Khan is a Radiation Oncologist at BC Cancer Victoria, where she joined the Division of Radiation Oncology in February 2026 following completion of her residency at the University of Calgary. She holds an MD/PhD from the University of Toronto (Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering), an MSc in Medical Biophysics from Western University, and an FRCPC from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (January 2026).

Her clinical focus encompasses three treatment sites — CNS, Breast, and Sarcoma — supported by a research background spanning surgical biomechanics, end-of-life care outcomes, and health equity in oncology. She is a nationally recognized leader in equity, diversity, and inclusion, having founded CARO-UROMP, Canada's first radiation oncology mentorship program dedicated to underrepresented trainees, and serving in leadership roles at CARO, ASTRO, ARRO, and SWRO.

Her scholarly contributions include 11 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Current Oncology, Seminars in Radiation Oncology, and BMJ Surgery, Interventions and Health Technologies, as well as a textbook chapter in Bioengineering for Surgery (Woodhead Publishing, 2015). She has received numerous national awards and scholarships, including the CIHR Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship, the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Award, and recognition as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women.
